During your visit to Harrogate and the surrounding area, you are in the best location to explore the wonders of Harrogate town centre when you stay at Harrogate Lifestyle Apartments. Our sought after town centre location makes it so easy for you to truly live the "Harrogate Lifestyle" the way Harrogate residents can live every day, because you are nestled into the heart of Harrogate's culture when staying with us.
The famous shopping district of Montpellier Quarter is next door to the Kings Quarter, where our apartments are situated.
There is such a huge range of fantastic bars and restaurants nearby to choose from, you really are spoiled for choice when choosing where to dine each day and night.

Contemporary pieces by local Artist Anita Bowerman are always on display in Anita's Studio, Dove Tree Art Studio, situated very near to our apartments just off Cheltenham Mount at Back Granville Road HG1 1AB. Anita is often found there working one of her latest pieces. Anita Bowerman is the official Yorkshire Artist for the 2015 Tour de Yorkshire.
Walker Galleries on Montpellier Parade showcase display contemporary art from a wide variety of artists and there are some really fantastic modern pieces at RedHouse Originals art gallery on Cheltenham Mount.
From modern through to classic 19th and 20th century collections you can find it all at the Mercer Art Gallery on Swan Road.
The Montpellier Quarter is home to the 'Antiques and Art Centre of the North': with many quality antique shops and art galleries. The Mercer Gallery in Harrogate is the home to Harrogate districts fine art collection and you can enjoy a range of pieces that are rotated throughout the year as new exhibitions unfold. The gallery consists of some 2000 works of art, mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The collection within the Harrogate Mercer Gallery includes works by William Powell Frith, Atkinson Grimshaw, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Dame Laura Knight, Alan Davie and many more. The collection is not on permanent display.
There is a changing exhibition programme in each of the two gallery spaces which ranges from national touring exhibitions of painting, photography, sculpture and crafts to exhibitions from the permanent collections to displays by local artists.
The Harrogate Pump Room Museum is filled with history on the town and the spa waters within it.

Fortunately for you, Harrogate Lifestyle Apartments are within easy walking distance to the Valley Gardens. Our apartments are also just a 5 minute drive away from RHS Harlow Carr Gardens, which you can even get to by foot if you carry on walking through Valley Gardens and Pinewoods.
Harrogate is also home to the annual agricultural event of the year, The Great Yorkshire Show in the Summer and the incredible Harrogate Flower Shows in Autumn and Spring.

Harrogate is an excellent base for exploring the area, as it is the most Northern point of the "Golden Triangle" (a term commonly used by estate agents for the area of West and North Yorkshire lying between Harrogate, York and North Leeds).
Harrogate is just 13 miles away from the Yorkshire Dales national park and the Nidderdale AONB (area of national beauty). Making Harrogate a great base for your vacation with plenty to enjoy in the heart of Harrogate on our doorstep, but also just a short 30 or so minutes drive/train ride to lively city life, or the natural wonders of "God's Country" in the wilderness of the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.
Knaresborough, Ripley, Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks, Skipton, Bolton Abbey, Malham Cove, Harewood House and Pateley Bridge are just some of our many favourite places that are each worthy of a day trip during your stay.
