With stately homes, historic listed buildings and stunning views, these beautiful locations are simply made for exploring and sharing! A real Instagram worthy location! To enjoy a fabulous Easter break, with or without the kids, we prepared a list of ten things to help you make the most of your visit when staying at our accommodation. Check it out!
Our top picks for this easter
Why not start your Easter break with something entertaining for all the family. There are many local Easter events and activities around the town and surrounding areas. Here are my top picks for some family fun whilst staying at our apartments. Rain or shine, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor fun to be had!
The Harrogate Climbing Centre is a geat choice for your little explorers. Hornbeam park is only a short drive from us and has free on site parking. If you want to ditch the car during your break and really feel connected to the town, then the centre is also only one stop away on the train to Leeds from Harrogate. Give your family an afternoon to remember by trying out the varying levels of climbing walls available followed by lunch and a smoothie from the onsite cafe. Perfect for those rainy Spring days if you want to get outside a while from the cosy serviced apartments!
More indoor activities for rainy days
Painting Pots Knaresborough are open 10am to 5pm Wednesdays to Saturdays and is real retreat from a rainy day. With lots of different media available to play with it is a sure fire way to keep the kids entertained and is a great experience for crafty adults too. It does take around a week to have these creations glazed and fired before they are ready to go home but there is also a handy postage option for a small extra cost. Perfect for those who are visiting the town and are not wanting to travel with extra weight or fragile items.
Springtime Live
The Springtime Live event is back for 2024! A fun filled family day out run by farming experts from the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. There is ample parking and plenty of food and drink venues scattered throughout the event area too. The Great Yorkshire Showground is a fantastic space for families to really enjoy being out in nature and all you need is a coat and maybe a picnic! Treat the kids to an experience they won't soon forget, take them to meet the Alpacas and have a blast on the climbing wall.
There are no bookable activities this year (thank goodness) and staggered arrival times throughout the day, so rushing about trying to make your booked activity is a thing of the past. There will be plenty of chance to grab a felting session or have a go on the pedal tractors on a first come, first served basis.
The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt
The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt is an local annual event that welcomes all our visitors to join in on the fun. After 6 years of bringing a delightful game of hide and seek to life amongst the picture perfect streets of Knaresborough just a short car ride from our serviced apartments or bus/train journey from Harrogate town centre, it is sure to bring joy to the hunters and many laughs to those working in the supporting businesses alike. I wonder who is participating and hiding a bunny amongst their wares this year? The gorgeous little bunnies are colurfully hand decorated and made by Laura Dudley who organises the hunt and these are supplied by her business Painting Pots in Knaresborough. It will cost you £3 for a map of the local business for the hunt and all the proceeds raised will be for some amazing charities. All the prizes to be won have been lovingly donated by local busineses to help keep this amazing tradition alive and to support such great causes in the process so come along and hunt with us! You may just find a little independant much like us
Our team from Harrogate Lifestyle Apartments is looking forward to having you stay in our Harrogate apartment and doing everything we can to make your Easter holidays the one to remember this year whilst staying in accommodation in Harrogate!
